Future is Organic Farming (A Prediction ::2030)

As a consequence, there has been a shift in paradigm from conventional farming to organic farming. About 60 % of the agricultural produce in India today is organically farmed. Recent studies predict that by 2030, about 80-90% of the agricultural produce in India will be from using organic farming methods. A decade ago, organic farming was looked upon as a luxury and farmers were reluctant to shed their conventional farming methods. Thanks to the efforts taken by the government in creating awareness about why organic farming is very important in preserving the soil, today more farmers are ready to shift to organic farming. Moreover, a lot of youngsters have taken up agriculture as their career choice and have contributed significantly to the growth of agriculture in India, especially organic farming. A lot of challenges lie ahead for the agriculture with the ever increasing demand for food but the future looks bright.
