The company was founded in 1926; the group has an illustrious history. It was started in 1945 as M/s Bachraj Trading Corporation Pvt. Ltd. In 1960, BTCL was renamed as “Bajaj Auto Ltd”. (BAL) and the company went public. The same year, it entered into a technical collaboration with Piagio for the manufacturing of scooters.
